We are a UK-based sawmill, servicing and supplying timber and bespoke pallets to our customers within the steel industry. The timber we produce is cut from homegrown sawlogs that are sourced from FSC-approved suppliers, ensuring quality and sustainability.

Rough-sawn softwood timber
Our rough-sawn softwood is primarily cut from spruce sawlogs which is a species of whitewood that is very popular within the pallet industry due to its lightweight but durable nature. Spruce is also a quick-drying wood that makes it ideal for kiln drying and producing heat-treated timber and pallets to international ISPM15 standards, which we also supply. As a sawmill, we have the capability and flexibility of cutting a large variety of different sizes with lengths up to 6m.
Hardwood
In addition to our rough-sawn softwood, we can also produce hardwood timber for customers who have a requirement for a denser, stronger bearer to support heavier material. The hardwood species we choose to use is lower in tannin levels and much more suitable to be used with ferrous metals compared to other species of hardwood with higher levels of tannic acid such as Oak, Cedar or Chestnut. These types of hardwood are reactive and corrosive to ferrous metals.
Bespoke pallets
The vast range of timber sizes that we can produce allows us to offer bespoke pallets that are manufactured to the needs of each individual customer. If required for export purposes, pallets can also be heat-treated to the ISPM15 standard with all necessary branding and paperwork provided for complete compliance.
Pallets play an essential role in keeping steel moving and therefore having good communication, working relationships and full transparency with our partners is key to ensuring supply is always timely and interrupted.
ISPM15 heat-treated timber
We hold certification with the TIMCON-administered United Kingdom Wood Packaging Material Marking Programme (UKWMMP), enabling us to manufacture and supply heat-treated timber in accordance with ISPM-15 regulations. We conduct the full process of heat treating using our onsite certified kiln, with the finished products marked accordingly.
Kiln-dried timber
In addition to heat-treated timber, we can also supply kiln-dried timber to a moisture content below 20%. Our kiln is powered by a biomass boiler which is fuelled using our own sawmill waste products helping us to reduce our carbon footprint and lower our annual emissions.
